Van der Knaap signs for geothermal energy

Geothermal energy is a perfect fit with Van der Knaap Group’s strategy and vision. Karel de Bruijn says, “We've decided to power our innovation centre with geothermal energy. With its limited surface area, Van der Knaap's innovation centre is a long way from being a large-scale consumer. Making the switch to geothermal energy is therefore in line with the strategy and vision to operate as sustainably as possible, rather than aimed at reducing costs."

Following the startup phase with those taking part and the connection of various customers at the beginning of 2018, it was all systems go on the expansion of Aardwarmte Vogelaer's heat network. Meeting energy needs sustainably is an important reason for using geothermal energy for heating.
